Afternoon Movie on the Floor

The Simpson's Movie...

Lunch with the Twinnies

The cousins had lunch together today. The meal was a smorgasbord which included: pulled pork, cucumbers, crackers, dip, sugar snap peas, beans, grapes, pizza, raisins and whatever else Eli found on the floor and put in his mouth...

"Quit bugging me, I'm eating..."

Brody taught Gracie a new trick which she loved...

Quote from Brody: "Eli, um, hit that girl, um, you know, his girlfriend..."

Looking up auntie's shirt...

"How is this fun?"

A touch of frusty...

"This fancy move will possibly take their minds off what I'm about to do..."

Eli's attempt at thievery..."Hmmm, what have we here?..."

"Maybe if I move real quick she won't see me..."

"I promise aunty I will not steal Brody's raisins again...yeah right..."

Heat

Pretty lame activity...lunch at the food court...blame the heat...

Filler

Since Explore Oregon is on hold due to the extreme heat I thought I'd post a couple of pics of Coop from his last day of school with his buddies. Pictures were taken by the lovely Kristin Roche (thanks!)...

The boys started Taekwondo this week and just loved it. They aren't usually "joiners" but whatever cousin Zack is doing, they want to do. Cooper is able to be in a group with Zack but Brody is in the Little Tigers for the younger kids.
Cooper and I watched Brody's session and had a hard time keeping it together. That kid is hysterical and watching these little munchkins trying to do complicated moves was just a sight to see. When asked what his favorite part of Taekwondo was Brody said, "the running".
Go figure...

Brody's on the end in this photo...

End of the Oregon Trail Museum

Our adventure today was to go back in time to pioneer days. Zack, Zack, Cooper and I went to Oregon City to visit it's history at the Oregon Trail Museum.
It was very hands-on and a load of fun for the boys.

A proud moment for the moms...

The boys had a challenge to fill a wagon with a load of things and
make sure that everything fit.

Exhausted after such hard work...

Ma & Pa Kettle...

Lunch at Mike's Drive-In and yummy milkshakes...

The boys took a short walk on the Oregon City promenade over the Willamette Falls and then took a ride in the elevator...

Home Fun - Activity 4

The boys painted wood figures and ornaments for Home Fun
Activity 4...

Home Fun - Activity 3

The boys did some reading and word games for Home Fun Activity 3...

Home Fun - Activity 2

The next home activity we did was making homemade playdough. 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup salt,
6-8 T water, bake at 300 until hard. Messy but fun...

Home Fun - Activity 1

So today we have decided to have a "Home Fun" day where we do different activities throughout the day. I will be posting pictures of each different activity throughout the day. This is a picture of the boys "swearing" that they will not watch any tv or play any video/computer games all day...

Our first activity of the day was a lego building contest...

Brody won the award for the hardest working glider maker...

Cooper won the award for the most creative tankfighterboat...

Zack won the award for the most fierce fighter jet...
